“Nauti or Nice” Holiday Pop-Up Bar is Back at Port City Tavern

Port City Tavern has become one of the most popular neighborhood bars in Long Beach since it opened in 2020, thanks in part to their cocktail program, events, and overall creativity when it comes to curating local fun. But owner, Dylan Davis, and his young group of energetic and talented staff, especially show-off during the holidays.

Sticking true to their year-round Long Beach “Port City” pride, “Nauti or Nice” is a nautical-themed holiday cocktail bar that focuses on spreading thematic “cheer” through delicious craft holiday cocktails served in souvenir-style glassware and holiday bar decoration dressed to the nines.

Port City Tavern’s winter wonderland bar officially opens the day after Thanksgiving and runs through New Year’s Day. While Port City Tavern is a classic bar through and through (not a restaurant), keep an eye on their Instagram @portcitytavernlb for nights when they may collaborate with food vendors this holiday season.

Special Events!

Fun and festive events have become hallmarks of Port City’s holiday ventures and will once again take place this year. Port City’s annual Ugly Sweater Silent Disco Party on Friday, December 12th, lets guests dance the night away in their most festive fits while tuning into one of three live DJs—just slip on the headphones, switch between channels, and pick your vibe There’s no cover charge and it’s free to attend. This is one of the most fun nights of the year at the bar. 

They are also throwing an after party for the Belmont Shore Christmas Parade on December 6th and the Naples Boat Parade on Saturday December 2oth, as well as “Cookies and Cocktails” cookie decorating nights hosted weekly throughout the holiday season.

Family-Friendly Events

This year Port City Tavern offers Long Beach two unique opportunities to enjoy their holiday cocktails while bringing the kids along!

On November 29th and 30th, Port City Tavern is serving up their locally famous cocktails at the 908 Holiday Fair from 12-5pm at Sports Basement (2100 N. Bellflower Blvd, 90815).  The 908 Holiday Fair brings Santa, local food and drink, festive music, arts and crafts, photo-opps, and shopping all under one roof!

Also on November 29th from, 2pm-6pm, is the Zaferia Winter Festival which will take place at the Port City Tavern Parking Lot (4306 E. Anaheim St, 90804) and will feature real snow, hot cocoa, food and drink specials, and more!
