“Nauti or Nice” Holiday Pop-Up Bar is Back at Port City Tavern

In just a few short years since its opening, Port City Tavern has become one of the most popular neighborhood bars in Long Beach, thanks in part to their cocktail program, events, and overall creativity when it comes to curating local fun. But owner, Dylan Davis, and his young group of energetic and talented staff especially show off during the holidays.

Sticking true to their year-round Long Beach “Port City” pride, “Nauti or Nice” is a nautical-themed holiday cocktail bar that focuses on spreading thematic “cheer” through delicious craft holiday cocktails served in souvenir-style glassware and holiday bar decoration dressed to the nines.

Just like their other seasonal cocktail menus, each new menu is handcrafted by bar manager Brad Eston, and this year’s holiday menu includes both new cocktails and classic favorites like their “Oh, Snap!” old fashioned and the “Son of a Nutcracker” spiked cider.

Port City Tavern’s winter wonderland bar officially opens the day after Thanksgiving and runs through New Year’s Day. While Port City Tavern is a classic bar through and through (not a restaurant), keep an eye on their Instagram @portcitytavernlb for special events when they may collaborate with other vendors this holiday season.

Two events have become hallmarks of Port City’s holiday ventures and will once again take place this year. Their “Ugly Sweater Silent Disco Party” will take place on December 12th, and feature three different DJs, in addition to an ugly sweater contest. This is one of the most fun nights of the year at the bar. Port City Tavern also hosts a Naples Boat parade after-party on December 21st, and encourages patrons to party by offering free Uber vouchers from Naples to their bar for anyone in their SMS texting club. Joining their SMS club is free and easy, just call for instructions or ask a bartender!

Port City Tavern is open until 2am, seven days a week. Any time of year, patrons can enjoy an outdoor patio, pool tables inside, TVs for sports, craft beer, wine, and custom cocktails.
