Home Of The $1 Chair
Value is at the heart of Thompson Rental’s “why.” Nick started the rental company after seeing his mom waste too much money on rentals. Her local non-profit, Shoe String City Ranch, was always throwing fundraisers, but the rental costs seemed unreasonably high to Nick. He began buying chairs and tables for rental out to fellow locals at a reasonable cost. As an example, basic folding chair rentals are always $1 per chair, which has gained Team Thompson the friendly slogan “Home of the $1 chair.”
Team Thompson’s big new warehouse in Signal Hill isn’t just fully stocked with all types of party rental supplies. NEW equipment is constantly cycled in, a practice in which Nick and Lexi take pride. “Most rental companies keep their rundown equipment way too long. We’re always trying to update to new supplies that we feel proud to rent to others,” says Nick.

You might say their union was “meant to be.” Nick was just building his rental business at the time of his first date with Lexi, an event planner by trade! Romance blossomed, and so too their businesses. Now the partnership brings clients a seamless experience providing party rentals, while Lexi can help coordinate anything from a simple backyard birthday party to a major festival.
The couple now live near El Dorado Park, a venue for which they just so happen to always be on call!
