Feature Event: Chrome! Cruisin,’ Clubs and Drag Strips

Are you a petrolhead or just flat out chrome crazy? Does the thought of a refurbished ‘50s hot rod give you the same rush as a high-speed roller coaster? If you answered yes to either of these, then it’s your duty to find your way to George’s 50’s Diner on July 14 for Chrome! Cruisin.’

This exhibit, put into gear by the Long Beach Historical Society, celebrates the eccentric and spectacular mid-century car culture of Southern California. More than just cherry red Mustangs, this ongoing exhibit will proudly display vintage photos cars, creators, and chrome that is sure to put the get up in your jalopy. And if that doesn’t turn the key in your ignition, wait until you see Tommy Ivo’s famous dragster on full display.

This event is even suitable for those who aren’t as “pedal to the metal,” because local, restored restaurants and drive-in theatres make for an experience everyone can enjoy!

Offering more than any old car show, this exhibit will rev its engines for nine months before coming to a close in March 2019, but make sure to cruise on over on Saturday for its opening day. For more information: http://hslb.org/chrome/
