Cuentos y Cantos, a bilingual Spanish storytime, is making its way to Bret Harte Library Fridays at 10:00 a.m., starting June 1 until July 20. Families with children ages two to five are invited to explore books, songs, and more. If you have interest in exposing your little one to another language, this weekly class is a great opportunity to connect with other local families and learn together.

2018 Torch Run – Champions Run for Life

Join the spectators and cheer on the runners. Patients of Jonathan Jaques Children's Cancer Center at Miller Children's Hospital Long Beach will participate in an Olympic-style, fun-filled torch relay. Each year, 300 patients and their families gather to celebrate those who won the battle, those who are still fighting, and those who have lost the battle to this life-threatening disease. Each patient holds a torch as they run, walk, are carried, or are wheeled the 400 yards until passing the torch to the next waiting patient.
