Families with children ages two to five are invited to explore books, songs, and more. If you have interest in exposing your little one to another language, this weekly class is a great opportunity to connect with other local families and learn together.

2018 Torch Run – Champions Run for Life

Saturday, June 9 | 8:30am-2:00pm

200 Aquarium Way, Long Beach 90802 | Shoreline Aquatic Park

Join the spectators and cheer on the runners. Patients of Jonathan Jaques Children's Cancer Center at Miller Children's Hospital Long Beach will participate in an Olympic-style, fun-filled torch relay. Each year, 300 patients and their families gather to celebrate those who won the battle, those who are still fighting, and those who have lost the battle to this life-threatening disease. Each patient holds a torch as they run, walk, are carried, or are wheeled the 400 yards until passing the torch to the next waiting patient. To sponsor a runner or to make a donation to the Children’s Hospital, visit the link below.

Patchwork Show

Sunday, June 10 | 11:00am-5:00pm

Grab your shopping tote, sunglasses, and comfy shoes, then prepare to stroll the aisles of Patchwork Show this weekend. Patchwork Long Beach is a bi-annual craft fair which has so much more than crafts. Enjoy 200+ vendors including live music, tastes, and wares by local artisans. Choose one-of-a-kind items to decorate your abode or get a jump start on those holiday gifts. Parking may be sparse so consider biking over and make use of the bike valet.
