Long Beach is home to a phenomenal hockey team, the Long Beach Bombers. Originally founded in 1993, the team has undergone quite the journey to become who they are today. The current owners are lifelong, passionate hockey fans who are determined to make Long Beach Bombers a household name.
A True Family Business
Josh & Bryana Fitzgerald, husband and wife, co-own the team with head coach, Curtis Fisher. The three have a long personal history that brought them together to embark on the journey of team ownership. Curtis is a former Bomber himself and played hockey for NYU. Josh and Bryana’s eldest son, Kody, is the assistant coach of the Bombers while their youngest son, Ethan, is one of the team’s goalies making it a true family business. The rest of the team’s coaching staff includes: Nick Perez, Julian Madison, Joe Vingi, and Spencer McKay.

Pathway To College Hockey
The Bombers are part of a league called the United States Premier Hockey League (USPHL). The USPHL is a network of Junior players encompassing the United States and Canada comprising over 75 teams. Per the USPHL website, USPHL is “your pathway to college hockey.” The Bombers are in the Pacific Division and their schedule can be found on the the team’s website.
Many young hockey players leave California to play on the East Coast or in Canada. Josh and Curtis are focused on building a strong program for hockey players looking to make it to the professional level by fostering and mentoring home-grown talent. The players on the Long Beach Bombers are under 20 years old looking to make it to the professional hockey level. The team offers camps for fitness training, sharpening skills, and prospecting for a spot on the team. If your children would be interested in honing their hockey skills, more information can be found on their website and social media.

Duolingo accepted universities in UK are a good option for international students who want a simpler English test route instead of IELTS or PTE. Many UK institutions now review the Duolingo English Test along with your course level, intake, and other entry rules. With the right score and supporting documents, you can apply to Duolingo accepted colleges and universities in UK for selected undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Always check the exact score requirement on the course page because it can change by university, program, and even department.
