Long Beach's Real Estate Mogul, Johnathon Cardwell

Background: Johnathon grew up in the Long Beach area playing an array of sports from Pop Warner football to baseball at Lakewood Village Little League. He attended CSULB before beginning his real estate career as an agent at Keller Williams Pacific Estates off Spring St. To get business off the ground, Johnathon marketed himself as “Cardwell with the CART,” driving around in a golf cart to meet and market to the neighbors. After a time he made the entrepreneurial jump and opened an independent real estate brokerage “CART Group, Inc – Cultivating All Real Estate Talents.”

How are you making an impact in Long Beach? When families not from the area are moving into Southern California, they really do not know where to live. I am a little biased because I grew up in the area, but hands down Long Beach is one of the best places to live. It’s a central location between Orange County and Los Angeles; a beach city that offers entertainment, pride of ownership from home owners, diverse neighborhoods, the list goes on. How has Long Beach shaped your world view? Long Beach has some of the most down-to-earth, humble and friendly people I have ever met. It has helped shape my worldview to being open minded, having a friendly attitude on life, and always staying humble. What is your vision for the future of Long Beach? I hope one day there is a tech startup scene in Downtown Long Beach and the skyline will be built higher & higher in Downtown. But at the same time, I hope Long Beach keeps its single-family market small & community oriented.
