Test out your green thumb and design skills with the crew over at our local Armstrong Garden Center. At no charge, your little gardener will plant some fall blooms in a charming Halloween container. Basic gardening principles will be introduced as well. This is an easy, fun morning activity and best of all, your little ghoul can proudly bring their creation home to keep your abode festive through the holiday. Dia de los Muertos Family Festival

Explore Día de los Muertos, a vibrant celebration of life and loved ones at MOLAA's annual family festival! The entire family is encouraged to discover more about this cultural tradition through a mask-making workshop, live performances by local talents including tiny Aztec dancers from Semillitas Preschool, sugar skull decorating, gallery tours, face painting, food, and unique craft vendors. Howl-oween Festival

El Dorado Nature Center | 7550 E. Spring Street, Long Beach 90815

Experience the trails and enjoy the treats this Saturday at Long Beach’s very own Nature Center. For just $5/person at the gate (kiddos under five are free) your entire family can enjoy the hoots and creepy crawlers along the decorated nature trails and experience a Halloween inspired version of the center. Costumes are encouraged along the frightfully fun trails and treat stops. Don’t forget that parking is still $7 cash.
