Family-Friendly Things to Do: October 6
Family Crafts Creation Station
Saturday, October 6 | 1:00pm-4:00pm
Rancho Los Cerritos | 4600 N Virginia Rd, Long Beach 90807
Who says So Cal doesn’t have seasons?! Tell that to the residents over on Petaluma where their sidewalks and driveways are covered in vibrant yellow, decaying flowers. This weekend, at Rancho Los Cerritos, kiddos will explore the colors of fall and engage in hands-on activities using autumn hues. This event is a perfect (and memorable) kick-off point for discussing seasons, observing nature, and preparing for cooler weather. Oktoberfest at SteelCraft
Saturday, October 6 | 2:00pm-8:00pm
SteelCraft | 3768 Long Beach Blvd, Long Beach 90807
Break out those lederhosen folks, it’s Oktoberfest! SteelCraft and Smog City Brewing are hosting a free, all-ages celebration of the popular German event (of course, you still need to be 21+ to enjoy the beer). Here’s what you can expect to see, do and taste: exclusive beer releases, additional beer stations, craft food with a themed menu, outdoor games, costume contest (enter those lederhosen lads), and live music from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. It sounds like a ton of fun, and it also sounds like you should arrive early to get a good spot with some good folks.
