El Dorado Park Summer Concert Series Kick-Off

Summer Concert Season Starts June 14 and continues throughout the summer on the second and fourth Thursday of the month! Pack a dinner, light snacks or favorite libation, and join other local music lovers for an Americana concert experience under the canopy of the El Dorado Nature Center trees. Arrive 30 minutes early for the best seats. There is a $3 suggested donation at the gate.

Bayshore Unveiling of New Leeway Waterplay Structure

The kiddos are out of school and it’s time to kick off summer the Long Beach way! Join your neighbors and local public leaders as they celebrate Long Beach’s newest water facilities including the new Leeway Pier, Swim Dock, Water structure, and concession stand. A huge inflatable play structure is bobbing in the bay just waiting to be jumped on and slid off of. Floaties are recommended for our little swimmers.

Here’s a good one for a collector, collection enthusiast, or anyone looking to pick up a hobby. In addition to buying, selling and viewing collectibles, there are many fun indoor events planned for little ones! All kids seven and under enter the show for free and are invited to go on a true treasure hunt (Booth 1168) that is IDEAL for sparking interest in collectibles.

Enjoy a view of the ocean and a relaxing family day on the outdoor lawn of the LBMA. Family ArtMaking Workshops provide free, family-oriented art-making activities for littles and their adults to create together. Sunday’s workshop is inspired by the paternal figures in our life and provides a creative opportunity for those needing a last minute gift.

Public Ice Skating

Escape the heat this weekend by heading over to The Rinks Lakewood Ice for public skating. Zoom, or ungracefully glide, around an Olympic-sized rink for a couple hours with your family or friends. Professionally maintained ice hockey and figure skates are available for your skating pleasure. For newbies or those needing a little extra assistance, skate mates are available. The concession stand offers hot cocoa and snacks for those who would prefer to spectate.
