KARAOKE NIGHT: 5 BARS WHERE YOUR VOICE MATTERS!

Have the nights out with your friends gotten a little…predictable? Mix it up by belting Bohemian Rhapsody together in front of strangers! Get those vocal chords ready because we’re going to share some of the best karaoke nights in the 908. And good news, with a couple of exceptions, you can sing your heart out all week with no cover!
Line up for Skee-ball, Pac-Man, darts or a pool table to enhance your experience in between crooning your favorite tunes on Wednesdays and Sundays at Blind Donkey (pictured above).
1) ALEX’S BAR

Alex’s Bar is the place to be if you’re into rock, metal, or punk music. But on Tuesday night, they embrace an eclectic mix of genres! Take your karaoke to the next level as you sing over the same PA system they use for their famous live shows. One important note: Karaoke night is very popular, so be sure to get there early for a spot on their list!

At Dutch’s Brewhouse, their famous pizza and brews take center stage. But stop by on Wednesday nights and step into the limelight for #bixbykaraoke! Hopefully, you don’t have to go on after any of the local legends who occasionally stop in to perform! Come early to save a table and enjoy “hoppy hour” from 4pm - 6pm for $2 off craft beers and apps!
3) BLIND DONKEY

If you think you don’t like karaoke, this is where you need to do karaoke! Enjoy a small-batch whiskey to build up some liquid courage, then take the stage in front of the most supportive crowd around! Their loyal and diverse group of regulars always fills up the floor at the front of the stage to encourage performers–especially newcomers! If after all of this, you still decide you don’t like karaoke, it’s alright. They’ve got some great games to entertain you!

At Executive Suite, almost every night is karaoke night! On Tuesdays, they pay you to sing – earn a $2 credit for food and drinks for every song! If you’re hoping to sing Spanish hits, some Fridays are Latin night! Friday and Saturday are club nights, so there is a cover charge – $7 before 10pm, $10 after 10pm. You’ll get access not only to karaoke on the main level, but also dancing, drag shows, pool tables, video games and more on the other levels! Talk about a well-rounded night out!
5) DiPiazza’s

DiPiazza’s is known for showcasing up-and-coming performers, and you should be one of them! Your voice will project over their high-grade sound system and performances are streamed on their TVs for everyone’s entertainment (so bring your A-game)! “KJ” Nikko will find any song for you, no matter how obscure. After your final note, enjoy late night happy hour from 9:00pm until closing. You earned that craft beer!
